"I've been attending and auditing some of the courses for masters to take stock of the topic selection assessments and the details of the course because I'm teaching some of these courses in my school. And another great thing is the people were so generous to give feedback to me on my ongoing research on a timely basis. It was a very collegial, very stimulating, and encouraging environment."

"It has been interesting to find alignment in what I'm thinking about next or measurement, and have debates, and find that a lot of the world is thinking about some of the things I'm working on. It has also been interesting to be challenged about the cases I'm thinking of, why I should value certain things, and address some concerns I have on measurement in general, that's been stimulating. I've also enjoyed the additional talks that happen in the evenings run by a range of schools, very topical, sometime controversial issues, but handled very well. So that's been enriching in general."

I also enjoyed the discussions I had with postgraduate students and particularly the postdoctoral fellows, and the interactions with the other CSAE Fellows. There is quite a lot of overlap in what we do and we've already started to collaborate on work together."

"I needed an environment that had the right mix of colleagues working in the same research areas that I am working on, a collegial research environment, and the space to actually just focus on my writing to finish off some of the papers that were not finished up yet. The CSAE Fellowship offered just that. I have particularly enjoyed the interactions with faculty, with graduate students, whether it's during one-on-one meetings or during seminars. I've always left these interactions with greater insight into the ideas that were discussed and papers that I'm working on."

"What I have enjoyed the most is having chats with professors, they've given me nice feedback on my proposals. I've also enjoyed the CSAE Seminars and Workshops, I learned a lot there about my own presentation but also from other presentations. I also enjoyed the Tea and Cake time at the Department of Economics. This was a great place to chat, form collaborations, and get feedback on my ideas."

"I became familiar with the CSAE in 2017 when I was funded to come and present my work at its annual conference. From then on, I developed an interest in having a long association with the CSAE and Oxford University's research environment. "My time as a CSAE Fellow was impactful in the areas of academia and professionally. I found the research seminars useful and insightful, featuring cutting edge ideas. This permitted me to envision ideas for some of my papers that have turned-out to be recognised. The environment was beautiful and logistics highly appreciable. Consequently, I was capable of concentrating on doing research and finalising my research articles. The staff was friendly and every time I sought advice on matters regarding academia and otherwise, I was always provided with an appropriate response."

"I delightfully recall my CSAE Visiting Fellowship experience in 2015 Hilary term. On arrival at Oxford, I met with friendly staff who made my stay pleasant. My research work on “Employment Elasticity of Output Growth in Nigeria” benefited from rich resources at the college library and inputs from the weekly seminars. Interacting with graduate students of the Department and the opportunity my spouse, ‘Tunde Dada had to do some work on poetry and education management was also remarkable. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience, and we long to visit Oxford again."
