SCHOLARSHIPS

The 2026/27 scholarships cycle is now closed. We will be inviting applications for the 2027/28 academic year in the autumn.

In the meantime, we recommend that you watch our webinars on the application process and encourage prospective applicants to enrol in the Graduation Applications International Network (GAIN), as this will help you with your applications.

2026 ENTRY INFORMATION

Applications for the Economics graduate programmes for 2026/27 entry are now closed. Candidates are automatically considered for scholarships they are eligible for, there is not a separate application process.

We can confirm that we will have joint scholarships with Jesus College, Oxford, and Queen's College, Oxford in 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must be nationals of an African country and meet all other entry criteria for the course they are applying for.

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants must follow the admissions process for the MPhil in Economics, MPhil-DPhil in EconomicsDPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford (depending on the programme they are applying for). We recommend you read the University's application guidance in full before applying.

All candidates who are eligible for any CSAE scholarships are automatically considered by the Department of Economics and the CSAE, there is no separate application process for scholarships.

All successful eligible MPhil applicants who apply by the deadline are automatically considered for internal University funding from over 70 scholarship funds for which they meet the eligibility criteria.

Applications must be submitted by the stipulated deadline (to be confirmed). The candidate must also meet the criteria for funding set out in the University of Oxford's Fees and Funding pages.
