Jeremy is currently doing a DPhil in Economics focused on Development Economics, specifically the role of electricity in supporting economic growth and other positive socio-economic outcomes in African economies. Other research interests include public health interventions and climate adaptation in African countries. Recently, he completed his MSc in Economics for Development at Oxford. His dissertation focused on the impact of load-shedding on mortality in South Africa. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, studying Economics and Mathematics. He has also worked at Boston Consulting Group in Johannesburg, focusing predominantly on topics in Global Health, Trade and Energy.
