Her current research focus is six-fold: completing Gates Foundation-sponsored work on the economics of mobile money, and an Oxford Martin School Policy Paper on Mobile Money (with John Muellbauer (Nuffield College)); writing an Oxford Martin School Policy Paper on Housing Affordability in the UK (with John Muellbauer); forecasting US core inflation and US sectoral inflation (with John Muellbauer); forecasting the predictability of monetary policy under improved central bank policy transparency in South Africa and estimating exchange rate pass-through to the aggregate CPI in South Africa (with Greg Farrell (South African Reserve Bank) and John Muellbauer); analysing price behaviour for the (millions of) micro-prices underlying the CPI in South Africa (with Neil Rankin (Stellenbosch University) and John Muellbauer)); modelling and forecasting inflation in Uganda (with John Muellbauer and Rachel Sebudde (World Bank)).
