Evie is an applied economist studying how road infrastructure and market access shape livelihoods and local development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her current projects examine the effects of road access on child health, regional development, and employment across sectors, combining geospatial data, large-scale household surveys, and causal econometric methods. She is a fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Luxembourg.
Prior to her PhD, Evie completed a double-degree MSc in Economics at Maastricht University and Université catholique de Louvain, and worked for two years as a junior researcher at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University.
